A Creative endevour

FAC is an artist run initiative that emboldens everyone to re-connect with their inner creative. It is an all inclusive feminine centred collaborative; believing in the power of creative energy to access uninhibited flow states of creativity and the healing that can bring. We run workshops, events and live art exhibitions to revel in the messy yet beautiful discovery of ones inner artist.

For example, in the sensual ceramics workshop, the attendees use clay to reconnect with their inner sensual slowness and get their hands all lovely and muddy. Our workshops often draw upon art therapy tools to support the group, encouraging them to find their own unique gifts within the process of making.

THE BEGINNINGS

The collective was set up to simply encourage a free space for non goal-orientated creativity. For Tilde, the founder of FAC, this was imperative for her own artists practice.

“I had a story for a long time that I "wasn’t an artist". I believe we’re all artists (in some shape or form) re-remembering. Art can singing, cooking, dancing, and so much more. I think we’re past the point where you need to draw or paint or sculpt to be an “artist”. The possibilities are endless and I want FAC to encourage that.”

FAC focuses on returning to the body as an entry point to creativity and artwork. A future vision is to develop live public performances using the body as a medium to explore themes around sexuality, femininity, politics, identity, culture and so much more. 

OPEN TO ALL

The plan is to have a rotation of facilitators to guide workshops & participate in group exhibitions.
