ICEWOMEN Community
Wild women, cold exposure and nature swimming; a supportive international community of strong sisters
Ice Women community is an international community of women who meet regularly to immerse themselves in cold water and explore the benefits together. It is based around the Wim Hof Method; a simple, effective way to stimulate the deep physiological processes in our bodies that connect us to the natural environment through a two part practice:
1. Cold water exposure
2. Mindset/Commitment
The Ice Women community is made up of women of all ages right up to 98 years old and is a supportive network for females to practice together and have fun. It has sections all around the world including Australia, Turkey and the Netherlands.
They feel it is important to make The Wim Hof Method accessible to women of all ages and abilities due to the massive health benefits experience by people who have adopted the technique all around the world. It has been shown to reduce inflammation and infection in the body, balance hormones and improve circulation as well as having a positive impact on treating depression and anxiety, and even improve our looks: shinier hair, sparkling eyes and smoother skin. Natural swimming, being outside, allowing the body and mind to sync with nature and creating true balance is the essence of the practice and it has so many health and life benefits.
THE FIRST ICE WOMEN
Laura and Isabelle, are the daughters of Wim Hof, otherwise known as ‘the Iceman’. They grew up experiencing cold water, Buddhist and mindfulness practices and have carried out instruction on the Wim Hof Method at events around the world. Together they founded the Ice Women Community, beginning with the Amsterdam group. With a passion for helping people cope with stress and perform at top levels, the Hof sisters teach women to deal with their stress and become stronger, happier and healthier.
