Bold, beautiful jewellery from a one woman business
Obsqura is a brand of up-cycled, unique statement jewellery handmade to adorn, express and empower. Bold, chunky neck rings wrapped in repurposed inner tubes are decorated in signature Obsqura fashion with crystals, bones and metal elements. Each piece takes on an original, unique form inspired by tribal jewellery, dark art, mythology and wild curiosities of nature. Materials are upcyled whenever available and all bones are ethically scavenged around my local area. Bone collecting and afterlife appreciation is a strong theme among Obsqura. The jewellery is released in small batch collections dedicated in admiration of mythological stories associated with strong empowered women and the afterlife.
WHY DID I START CREATING
As a maker it has always been important for Erica to provide an ethical alternative to commercial fast fashion. She has loved fashion as a way to express personality from a young age and has always gravitated towards unique pieces that set her aside from the main stream.
“Obsqura began as a way to compliment my own style and embrace a sense of feminine strength and power. I felt drawn to adorn myself with something powerful and striking, using my favourite materials of crystals and bone, which led me to create original pieces that are now the signature brand of Obsqura.”

Erica Sundrop is an artist who loves to create through multiple mediums including jewellery, photography, clothing, accessories and installations. Living in the Blue Mountains for 2 years propelled her connection to nature and provided an abundant mass of decayed animals that inspired the development of her jewellery journey. As a sole creator managing a one woman business, she dance through the roles of designer, photographer, social media manager, website developer, packaging witch and business accountant. She is now based in Israel where she is in the transition stage of creating Obsqura’s new base of creation.
