A discussion around the many meanings of feminism and the implications of feminist ideology for women in the 21st Century. This panel will examine the post-#MeToo global context, discuss challenges to patriarchal power structures, and consider the divisive question - what does feminism represent at its core, and why do so many hate it?
Globetrotting Ladies, Solo Gypsies, Family Travelers
Breaking myths of women backpacking solo and sharing stories of traveling abroad with children in tow. In this panel, on all things adventure and exploration, we’ll share travel tips and bold stories from foreign locales, getting you excited for your next (or first!) escapade overseas or here down-under.
Fulfilment in life & creative endeavours
A panel featuring passionate workforce women who perceive being a woman as an asset, not a hindrance. Women face more barriers than men in the workplace and career progression, yet these are not insurmountable, and these challenges can ENERGISE us to surpass adversity. This is a discussion on creating businesses and other innovative endeavours, how to balance working, social and family life, and on monetising our interests and passions.
Sex! and all that
A frank, honest and safe conversation around the topic we’d love to talk about more but don’t often enough… In this panel we will break the taboos of ‘polite’ conversation and discuss all sex-related questions and musings. Centring around notions of female and non-binary sexual expression, sexuality, societal pressures, myths and contradictions; let’s talk about sex!
